The water sources of Serra de Sintra are known for their miraculous waters and magnificent fountains.
They are references in crystalline water that, in abundance, multiply throughout the mountains, accentuating the sensation of freshness and green, their therapeutic virtues go back to pre-Roman times, originating rites, legends and devotions.
The population maintains the myth of pure mountain water and even today they go to serve themselves at the fountains.
